A mixed-media experimental documentary that gets inside the mind of Rag’n’Bone Man. Available on Apple Music alongside the singer’s new album ‘Life by Misadventure’, the film explores the themes of the record, his mental state while making it, and the creative process of it all coming together.
We were commissioned by No.8 Studio to work on some style frames and motion graphic animations for a short music documentary by Spindle, a London based media agency.
The delivery timeline was extremely tight, as we only had three days to complete the work.
We moved on to the animation stage soon after delivering our second proposal to the client, implementing their feedback on the animatics. We were also able to bring in extra resources to meet the deadline. Once we received approval for the animatics, we started refining the animation.
During the second part of the assignment, we had a change of direction, and had to move fast to create something new with the same assets. While this took some time, the client was happy with the results.
We collected references from the client and prepared a deck of style frame examples. Once the client had chosen their preferred option, we moved forward with the animation.
In the animation stage, the client changed direction on the style of the animation. This also involved a change in the overall style of the design.

We delivered the animations on schedule, which we are extremely proud of, considering the tight turnaround and change of artistic direction. The client was extremely happy with the results.
