Animated doodles for an Anglian Water campaign.
We were commissioned by No.8 London to enhance these live action commercials with some quirky hand drawn animations.
The delivery timeline was extremely tight as we only had a few days to complete the work, it’s such a classic with advertising. Hand drawn animation can take a lot of time…
To overcome the challenging deadline, we worked on this in parallel, swiftly delivering wips to the production, cutting corners with loops when possible.
We sketched a few still examples to ensure we were on the right track. The client loved them, so we moved on right away to the animation stage.
We animated these doodles with frame-by-frame hand drawn animation in Photoshop. We then tracked and integrated the animation with AfterFx and Mocha.

The client was quite happy with the visuals, and we managed to deliver both the main ad and the cutdowns on schedule.
